QC cops rule NCR shootfest

          Quezon City policemen led by its District Director, PCSupt Elmo San Diego displayed their unbeatable prowess in the recently concluded National Capital Regional (NCR) Cup held on June 18-21, 2009 at the QCPD Firing Range in Camp Karingal, Quezon City.

 

          The shootfest dubbed, ‘The Police Officer’s Challenge’ is part of the PNP’s continuing skills development training and forms part of the PNP transformation program under the leadership of Chief PNP, Police Director General Jesus A Verzosa.

 

          Team QCPD was declared over-all champion in the team versus team category, besting several teams from other police districts.

 

The other winners are the following:

 

PCSupt Elmo DG San Diego---------1st runner-up Directors category

PCI Rodrigo Bauto Jr --------------- Over-all champion individual category

PSupt Alex B Sintin ----------------- 2nd runner-up individual PNP category

PCI Nicolas Torre ------------------- 7th runner-up individual PNP category

 

           PCSupt San Diego said, “The QCPD achieves and excels this much, not only in shooting competitions, but also in actual firefights against lawless elements, because of the full support extended to the policemen by the Quezon City government under the administration of Mayor Sonny Belmonte Jr, which provided numerous equipment, arms, vehicles and other necessities for the proper conduct of police operations.”

Recovered carnapped car owner hailed QCPD-ANCAR

          Mr Julius Caesar Abes was overjoyed upon receiving report that his carnapped car, a  Toyota Vios  color red with plate number ZKH 636 was  recovered at the vicinity of Teachers Camp, Baguio City by QCPD-ANCAR operatives led by POLICE INSPECTOR ANGELO B NICOLAS on June 9, 2009 at  6:00 a.m.

 

          Police Chief Inspector Dario T Anasco Jr Chief ANCAR reported to Police Chief Superintendent Elmo DG San Diego QCPD District Director that the car owner narrated at around 6:00 a.m. of June 6, 2009 thru texting he will first   met his male text mate at Honey West Apartelle, West Avenue, Quezon City. They met each other and seated at the table. Victim went to the comfort room and left the car key at the table when he returns; his text mate and car were gone.

QCPD gets share of COPS win

         Quezon City Police Acting District Director PSSupt Elmo San Diego, his deputies and officers and men of QCPD thanked the Metro Bank Foundation Inc. during the flag raising ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2009 in Camp Karingal, Quezon City for its donation of a brand new air conditioning unit and a steel cabinet which formed part of the 10% share of the foundation to the awardees respective units in the 2008 Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS).

 

          This developed as PSupt Alex B Sintin, Chief of the District Police Intelligence and Operating Unit (DPIOU) was among the winners in the COPS search in the officers category and bagged P250,000 in cash.

Minor revamp at QCPD

          Quezon City Police District chief Police Chief Superintendent Elmo San Diego announced today a reshuffle of subordinate officers for the exigency of the service and the career advancement of those involved.

 

          Effective June 1, 2009, the reshuffle involves the following:

 

1. PSUPT FRANKLIN MOISES R MABANAG from Chief, Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) to Chief, District Mobile Group (DMG).

 

2. PSUPT GERARDO B RATUITA from Deputy Chief, Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) to Chief, CIDU and concurrent Chief, District Legal Unit.

QCPD nab driver, three others for robbery/holdup

          Quezon City Police District Acting District Director PSSupt Elmo San Diego announced the arrest of a jeepney driver and three of his cohorts after they robbed a lone passenger of his cellular phone at about 4:00 PM May 4, 2009 along Aurora Blvd., near corner Broadway St., Cubao, Quezon City.

 

          PSSupt San Diego identified the suspects as Roberto Sibug, 40, of Agham Road, Quezon City, Cordero Cortez, 32, of 14 Paterno St., Quiapo, Manila, Angelo Saliendra and Remiro Facundo both 28 years old from Sta. Cruz, Manila.
